Hello and welcome to my website.
I'm Sandra Morton, an author of illustrated books for young children (Rhyme Time Tales), and a designer of creative resources for all ages (Arty Outlines). I publish these book under the pen name of SARAH INNINS.
I'm also a keen amateur photographer living in East Devon, UK, and I'll soon be featuring some of my images and wall art on this website.

About Me
Since I was a teenager, I’ve enjoyed writing short stories, parody song lyrics and personalised poems for special occasions. I love the restrictions imposed by the metre and rhyming pattern of verse – for some reason I find it easier and more rewarding to write in this style than in unrestricted prose. It’s no surprise that I have gravitated towards creating rhyming stories for young children (Rhyme Time Tales). These are illustrated in a variety of ways including cartoon-style with composited graphic elements, and composites of photographic elements (including my own images) rendered into artistic styles. Many of the concepts and content of my books, including those which have not been published yet, have been in the back of my mind since my adult son and daughter were children themselves. It’s been very rewarding to finally see these stories in print and to have my grandchildren enjoy them.
A life-long interest in crafts and design has prompted me to publish creative resources for all ages. The Arty Outlines series features formatted sketchbooks, with tiles and disks, for practicing and archiving 'Zentangle’, doodle, and spiral art designs. I’ve also created art-starter templates to take those techniques to the next level.
When my husband and I relocated to the scenic Jurassic coast of East Devon in 2017, I became inspired to take photography more seriously. Although I do own a DSLR camera, I find I now, almost exclusively, use my iPhone to take photographs. I'm so impressed with the results and love the freedom and flexibility. I've become an enthusiastic proponent of smart phone photography. I believe that phone images should be presented alongside traditional camera photographs without apology and judged without prejudice. I'll be displaying a selection of my arty images soon and, if all goes to plan, these will be available for sale.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
