I’ve recently created a  BT Tradespace business profile page for my jewellery website (it’s actually my second Tradespace page), and I’d forgotten how quick and easy the whole process is.

This service is perfect for small businesses which don’t yet have a presence on the internet, or for online businesses which want to increase traffic to their existing websites and blogs.  The basic BT Tradespace package is FREE, but there is an upgrade option available which allows you to add much more information (photos, videos, podcasts etc).

No website technical knowledge is required – simply add text to your profile, make blog posts, add product information, upload photographs and videos,  or add podcasts if you have made any.  You can even sell products and services directly from your Tradespace site via PayPal.  There is a community (in Beta) for networking, and informative newsletters and support information.

All in all,  if you’re a UK-based business, sole-trader or consultant, I highly recommend registering for a free account with BT Tradespace.   It will bring in new business and create traffic to your existing websites as well as improving your Google ranking.
